Sugo All'Arrabbiata
Arrabbiata sauce, or sugo all'arrabbiata in Italian, is a spicy sauce for pasta made from garlic, tomatoes, and dried red chili peppers cooked in olive oil. The sauce originates from around Rome. Enjoy with Herts Pasta garganelli or spaghetti.
Storage
Herts Pasta sauces can be kept in the fridge for a maximum of 2 days. Alternatively, they may be frozen for up to 1 month before cooking.
Cooking Instructions
In a flat pan heat a teaspoon of olive oil, when the pan is hot add the chilli flakes (the longer you cook the chilli flakes, the spicier the sauce will be), cook for one minute. Add the tomato sauce until it simmers. Put it to the side.
When the pasta is ready drain in a colander and add to the sauce, mix well.
Using tongs or a fork and spoon transfer to plate/s
