The history of my pasta machine is a longer one than even I originally knew.
Not long ago, when I had the idea of creating Herts Pasta, I spoke to my Mother and thanked her for the Imperia pasta machine that she gave me as a present, a few years before. She laughed, saying “That pasta machine was your Nonna (Italian Grandma) not mine! My pasta machine is 50 years old so the one of your Nonna must be 70 years old!”
Every time one of you eats a Herts Pasta dish, the pasta was turned out of my Grandma’s pasta machine that has fed 3 generation of Mercandinos and friends and now feeds people in Berkhamsted and the neighbourhood.
